Companyz a coming!

Only four more days to get oh so much done before company arrives. I know I spend too much time on my computer checking email and such, but how I enjoy this "little" machine that takes me to foreign states and also get to visit with family and friends on IM. I'm going to see about even getting my web cam hooked up (that is after company leaves) so I can see and "talke" on IM. I was in the middle of composing an email to Mom2princess and my computer shut down. I "hollered" at hubby and asked what he did, of course he didn't do anything a transformer blu and our whole mobile part was dark and stayed like that till after 1 am. We didn't hardly know what to do with ourselves, but after much do we want to or not, we gave in and went to DQ and got us one of their new creations in a waffle bowl. Wow was it too much, we sat in the car and ate it, in my mind reminding me of when we were younger. Yes I do remember that "far" back. I couldn't believe it when hubby all of a sudden said "whew too much can't finish it!" I however continued on for a few more minutes and too sat mine down. We then came back to our dark house and saw it was almost 10 pm so decided we could not go to bed; we were then awakened with out ceiling fan cooling us down and the TV coming on along with a few lights after 1 am. I then had to reset the clock and alarm as we had to get up at 4:30 am to clean the clubhouse. By last nite I was wiped out. Today is another day and I "must" get lots done. Hope your week has been great.

Whew What a Week!

But then who doesn't have them. I have been busy making cards again. Finished about 36 invitations for our ladies meeting on the 21st of this month. I have every thing out of my way now and can now get ready for company starting Monday. The company arrives next Sunday Morning.

Went shopping this morning, not arriving home till after 1:30 pm. I had a 40% coupon for Joann's Fabric & Craft store along with a 10% coupon for over all purchase, so "had" to use it by today. They had their 12x12, 8x11 and 8x8 sheets of paper on sale for 6 for 96 cents and the is when I purchase mine for my cards and of course I went "wild." Along with a few other things I "just had to have." I then went to Michael's Craft Store as I had another 40% coupon I just had to use and purchased me another corner punch and I think one other item.

I'll be Blogging again "hopefully" next week, as I get the time. Have a great weekend.

The first time I saw a chandelier to decorate a patio was at my friend, Brenda

home. She used regular candles in the chandelier; however, I made wooden candles out of dowels, painted them brown (for fall), then used felt to make the "flame." This is my first picture for my blog and learn also to link to another blog.

What a Busy Day!

My husband and I clean the clubhouse each Tuesday in our mobile park, which means getting up before dawn. And, I'm not a morning person. Didn't take us a long to clean as we did freshening up only. Our mobile park is celebrating it's 30th anniversary on the 4th and the clubhouse was really decorated well.



I then came home cruised a little on the computer, then went to one of my favorite craft stores, Tall Mouse. I had a 40% coupon for one item so just "had" to go and use it, well really it expires tomorrow. I got me a corner punch with my coupon and also a few other items "I just had to have" or they said "they" wanted to come home with me! Next I went to Wal Mart and took the whole store in! Whew I'm tired again just talking about it. Not to worry bloggers, I had to take a nap for an hour or so. Have been working on invitations for our ladies meeting at church; however, the creative juices just aren't flowing like I want. Thought I had it all planned out, but found it was going to be too big of a job with the time I have. I think after the third try I now have them ready for press or rather to print. Next I had a business card project for our Food Ministry's Director, so just finished that and we will be having a barbeque with her family tomorrow evening so I'll take them for her approval and then get them all printed.



My you ladies are easy to visit with. I hoping I can visit with you more often. Have a great and safe 4th of July; along with praying for our service men.

Getting Acquainted With Blogging

I have spend a lot of time today just "cruising," even though I have lots of work to do. I'm getting ready for out of town company on the 15th. My house sure needs a good cleaning and facelift. No facelift till after the fact; however, good cleaning is in the works. Also being the first of the month means taking care of household business and that is my job. Loved hearing from my new "found" blogger friends and their input.

Now it is dinner time, so I'd better get to fixing something. Until next time have a remainder of a great day!

A Beginning

My friend Brenda has been wanting me to create a blog, I am now among the blogging family. She also gave me the idea of titling my blog "Esther's House of Cards" because I am "addicted" to making cards for all occasions and have even been encouraged to do an online business. However, I haven't gotten that far as I'm still learning "how to create them." Almost from the being, when I was given my first home computer, I started making cards, banners and other papercrafts just using a program (very basic it was). For the past three or four years I have along with Brenda made "special invitations" to be personally handed out on Sunday Morning , prior to our ladies meeting on the following Saturday, in church. Some might think we compete against one an other, but not so! We work very good together bouncing ideas off each other. One idea can get our creative "juices" flowing.

I will be looking forward to "blogging" with new friends.
